Welcome to Troop 57! We are a youth-led, adult mentored, Scouts BSA troop dedicated to helping young men develop character, leadership, confidence, and outdoor skills through adventure and service.
Our troop believes that the best way to learn is by doing, and the best place to do is outdoors. Throughout the year, Scouts have the opportunity to camp, hike, backpack, canoe, participate in community service projects, earn merit badges, and take part in exciting high-adventure experiences. Every activity is designed to challenge Scouts, encourage teamwork, and help them grow into capable leaders.
Unlike many youth organizations, Troop 57 is youth-led. Our Scouts plan meetings, organize campouts, lead activities, and make decisions with the guidance of trained adult leaders. This approach teaches responsibility, problem-solving, communication, and leadership in a supportive environment.
Whether a Scout's goal is to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, become a confident leader, or simply enjoy time outdoors with friends, our troop provides opportunities for every level of interest and experience. New Scouts are welcomed and mentored by experienced youth leaders who help them learn the skills needed to succeed.
We meet every Thursday from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at Heatherwood Baptist Church. Visitors are always welcome to attend a meeting, meet our Scouts and leaders, and learn more about what makes our troop special.
If you're looking for a program that builds confidence, teaches practical life skills, encourages service to others, and creates lifelong friendships, we'd love to have you join us.
